I am selling a pretty much original "Machine". It still has the lacquer paint on the car. Since I bought the car I have fixed the seats and spruced up the interior including new factory matched carpets with matching floor mats. All the factory gauges work as well as the kick ass AM radio. Even the truck light works!!
AMC only made2326 ever made!!!This car is numbers matching and probably one of the best Machines out there today. The paint and special interior makes it a very low numbered car made. I was told one of only 6.
This car has had some engine work and transmission work recently and have all receipts to prove.

A restyle was again in order for the 1970 AMC Rebel. This time it received a new rear end with a C-pillar shape. This would be the last year for the Rebel line-up and remaining models would become known as the AMC Matador. Half of Rebel owners were over 50 years old.
AMC came up with another model design to appeal to the sports car performance market, "The Machine" was equipped with a 390 cu. in V8 with 340 hps., a 4-speed Hurst linkage transmission and 3.54:1 rear axle ratio. The Machine certainly boasted a racing image with features such as a Ram-Air hood scoop, 15 inch mag wheels, a 8000 rpm tachometer, dual exhausts and low back pressure mufflers.
