1962 AMC Rambler American 400 Convertible 400 Model Additional Info:

I purchased this car in March of 2006 and placed it in storage with my other vehicles in Coeur d Alene, ID. It was sold new in Sacramento, CA and I bought the car from the second owner who also lived in California. There is absolutely no rust on the body or undercarriage. I had the car repainted a couple of years later and in 2010 re-chromed the bumpers. I replaced the non working Radio with one that was NOS from that year. I recently installed NOS Steering wheel and center cap, new carpets, seat belt webbing keeping the buckles with the Rambler Logo, I just had a new Black top made of top grade canvas professionally installed and have a new red boot cover that will need the snaps attached. The electric / hydraulic top works well up and down., I installed 4 new wheel cylinders and brake shoes less than 50 miles ago and just rebuilt the carburetor
This car is a great driver and really fun on sunny days. It's always been garaged and needs very little to be able to show, I had a local upholstery shop replacing the vinyl cover on the dash. After a month of just sitting in the shop half done I brought the car home. The top edge of the vinyl needs to be stretched into place. The car also needs a new glove box liner. I am currently asking $7,500 less than I have into the car. Must sell to pay medical bills
