1968 AMC AMX 2 door Additional Info:
1968 AMC AMX - clear North Dakota title - originally was a forest green color with tan interior, 290 V8, 4 speed car. This is a California, rust free car. The body has been blasted, primered, is straight, and ready for final sanding and paint. You will save a pile of money with the bodywork all done. The car currently has a 68/69 390 engine with headers, torker intake, edelbrock carburetor, and mild camshaft. It has dual exhaust all the way out the back with cherry bomb style mufflers. The engine only has approx. 100 miles on it since rebuild and runs very well. The car does run and drive. The interior has been removed but is complete and is in need of a full redo. The car includes all the glass including a new windshield and trim. It was missing a few things when I bought it but have purchased the items I found to be missing so I would say it is 98% complete, just to be safe. Wheels need restoration but tires are good. There is no door or trunk seals but aftermarket is available. The grill is not broken but has somewarping- bumpers are driver quality, pretty good condition-tail light assembly is not heavily pitted as a lot of them are. Beautiful clean troughs, no rust. This is the perfect car to build the way you want it-exterior color and interior color-a clean slate as such. Since it is not an original 390 car, nor a go pack car, this is a good one to make it the way you have always wanted one and also do so affordably. The engine is dirty from sitting and will need detailing if you want it pretty. Finding a clean, rust free AMX to work with is difficult and this is a good one. You can even take yourVIN and door tag and put it on this body to make the AMX correct and save a pile redoing your existing car-just food for thought. Feel free to call with any questions or to visit about the car. Thank you, Dean cell 701-205-6906
