This 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6 is a running and driving project that benefits from a substantial amount of recent mechanical work. The undercarriage is very solid and nearly rust-free, while the body does show several areas of rust that are clearly documented in the image gallery. The car retains a clean title, is currently registered in California with 2026 tags, and passes California smog.
The engine starts, maintains good oil pressure, and runs at normal operating temperature. While the car is fully drivable, it would benefit from additional fine-tuning to perform at its best. After spirited driving, the car does require a brief cool-down period before restarting; a new starter is included and may resolve this issue. The gearbox shifts well overall, with only occasional and very minor grinding into second gear.
The interior is in good, usable condition, and all gauges and lights are operational. The chassis is straight with no signs of frame damage, and the car tracks and drives as it should.

Overall, this GTV6 is offered as a somewhat sorted mechanical foundation with cosmetic needs—an excellent candidate for continued improvement while still being enjoyable to drive. It’s a usable Alfa that can be appreciated now and refined over time.
