1990 Alfa Romeo Spider GRADUATE Additional Info:
We've decided to sell our 1990 Spider because it simply isn't getting driven enough. It is in excellent condition with 49,735 original miles at the time of writing.
The rare 1989/1990 transitional "3.5" model boasts the S3 body style with the upgraded S4 motor (Bosch motronic fuel injection and other improvements that increase power and delivery).
The graduate trim keeps things simple and lightweight. (Mirrors are power, nearly everything else is old school including steering.)
Extensive maintenance and restoration history, including all the following performed at 46,880 miles:Rebuilt cylinder head, valve job, guides, sealsRebuilt transmissionLower radiator hoseThermostatAir and oil filtersIntake sleevesCenter mufflerRelease bearingDriveshaft, u joints, and center bearing supportFront brake linesAccelerator pedalsNew tires
Also had a new top and was repainted.
Purchased by us in Pennsylvania and then brought out to Santa Barbara where it has resided for the last four years.
Serviced by an Alfa specialist with additional maintenance and bugs worked out. (New starter, new battery and other details during our ownership as well.) Records for these services are available.
California smogged without issue.
Cosmetic condition is excellent inside and out. Paint is bright, interior dash is free of cracks. Minor puncture in driver's seat, few small dents on the exterior, and other items typical of a 30-year old car.
The car runs perfectly and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Only current issue I can point to would be the emergency brake light coming on without actual cause.
I have flawless feedback here going back 20 years, including prior sales of another Spider (89, this one is far superior) and a 2006 Lotus Elise.
Happy to answer questions to the best of my ability or provide additional photos/videos.
Buyer responsible for pickup/collection in Santa Barbara, CA but I can certainly help with the handoff if a shipper is involved.
Priced to sell at $9,900.
