1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate Additional Info:
Classic Alfa Spider! 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate for sale. Alfa Rosso paint over black interior. Very well-maintained with just 42,xxx miles. Clean Carfax report and no sign of prior collision damage. Paint is all original except for small area refinished on one of the rear fenders. I've owned the car for several years and need to sell it due to lack of indoor storage, and it's too nice a car to leave outside. I've done a lot to the car over the past few years, including:
* New fabric convertible top
* Replaced front suspension control arms
* Fully Serviced engine and changed all fluids
* Installed Alfa GTA replica 15" wheels with new tires
* Installed new Blaupunkt stereo with Bluetooth and streaming audio, and JBL speakers
* New clutch master cylinder
* New battery
* New exhaust system
Just picked it up from Alfa specialist last week where I spent $1,6xx on rebuilding the throttle linkage, some new hoses, new flex disc, new trunk and fuel door release cables and new trunk badge.
The mileage is accurate and reflected both in the Carfax and overall condition of the car. It has a few rock chips and normal wear and tear, but is in very good overall condition for the age. I have the original owners manual/owners portfolio, and a full service manual for the car.
These are wonderful, solid Italian sportscars that are appreciating in value. It never fails to get comments wherever it's driven (more than my Ferrari actually!) and it's not unusual for me to come out of the Italian restaurant I frequent and see people asking the valet's to take their picture in front of the car! There is simply nothing you can buy for this kind of money that has the history, style, reliability, and this much fun to drive than an Alfa Spider. These "Series 3" Spiders are probably the most reliable and sorted of the models, with Bosch fuel injection, galvanized bodywork that is much more resistant to corrosion, and a cheap and plentiful supply of replacement parts. This one is an outstanding example that is realistically priced and head and shoulders above the typical Spider one finds for sale.
