1943 Willys MB WWII Additional Info:
Truly a museum quality genuine World War II 1943 Willys Jeep MB. Included is a full photo album of the complete frame-off restoration it went through back in the late 80's, documenting its total attention to detail from the ground up. All original parts were used, unless absolutely necessary, oem parts were purchased. Believe it or not, this jeep still has its original muffler on it! And, is still running a 6v electrical system as it should. All of the tools, soft top, front window cover, axe, shovel, tow rope, air pump, first aid kit, grease gun, M1 rifle holder (toy M1 rifle included), engine-mounted oil can, and fire extinguisher are all also WWII oem parts. She also runs, stops, shifts as it should and everything is in perfect working order - in other words, mechanicallythis jeep is flawless. This jeep spent a long time in a military aircraft museum in Miami, Florida until that museum closed in the early 2000's (the museum placard is even included – see picture). Since then she has been meticulously maintained and garage kept first in Ft. Lauderdale in a private collection, then by me in upstate SC after I purchased her in May 2016 (for $24,000). Upon my purchase I had a custom enclosed trailer built (see pictures) to store and transport - and even the trailer containing the jeep was stored inside a garage. Because I have the trailer for transport to parades/shows, I have only logged 59 miles since obtaining over two years ago. If interested in adding the custom-built trailer to the purchase of the jeep let me know and I will sell it for an additional $4,000 (I paid $5,287). The only “opps” on the entire jeep is a bent passenger side rear lift handle (visible in picture) where I backed into my garage door (which was damaged worse than the jeep!) – it needs to be replaced but should not be an expensive or hard to find part.I am selling only because my garage is slam full and my kids are now old enough to drive so they need space for their cars. I have had such joyful entertainment with this jeep at parades, a few fairs, and car meets. The honoring of the greatest generation ever and the endless smiles I have put on faces of all ages everywhere is truly priceless. I just feel it is time to pass her on to someone looking to have some fun and start enjoying part of American history, or to the seasoned collector that is searching for that one perfect piece of WWII to add to his or her collection. Clear SC title/registration provided. Please take note that I have been an Ebayer since 1998 and have 100% positive feedback so please buy with complete confidence. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to send me a message, and more pictures can be taken at your request. No low ball offers please, as I am fairly firm with my price. Thank you.
