1960 Triumph TR3 Additional Info:

1960 TR3A, Great driver, just drove 60 miles yesterday, everything works, meticulously maintained, one family owned from new until I purchased the car in 2016. One respray in the 70's at which time the outer rockers were replaced, the car has now aged and the paint seems to go well with the patina of the rest of the car which is all original. The frame rails were repaired on the passenger side at that same time, the car is very solid and has great lines and decent gaps. Comes with original top (new plastic windows done 2010), side curtains and tonneau cover. plus cover for top sticks when top is off. Extensive records for maintenance and repairs, plus ownership documents from new.
The original owner ordered this TR3 in left hand drive while working for the RAF back in the late 50's early 60's. It still has the RAF window sticker and original front registration plate from the UK. The documents include the original maintenance book from Eyles and Eyles Standard House in Headington, Oxford with the maintenance stamps and dates of service. The car was driven extensively in Europe the first few years of ownership, where the majority of the miles where accumulated, before being shipped back to Miami in the US in 1964. It remained with the family until after the owners passing, when it was passed to his daughter. I acquired the TR3 from her in 2016.
My plans were to pull the body and properly refurbish the chassis but it mostly sat for thew next several years. Once I started driving the TR3 I felt it should not be taken apart as it drove so well and was so tight. In my opinion it should be just be enjoyed and cared for as-is. It has a wonderful warm patina that can never be recaptured. Coming to this realization, it is time to pass the car on to some one who will enjoy it, as I have a serious backlog of car needing my attention.
I keep the TR at my lake home in Newfield, ME. 04056 where it available for inspection and test drives but I can bring the car to my business on Wakefield, MA. 01880 for ease of shipping.
