******THERE ARE 100 PHOTOS POSTED, PLEASE GIVE THE PAGE TIME TO LOAD. PLEASE DO NOT ASK RESERVE, IT WILL BE HELD CONFIDENTIAL. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING OUTRIGHT MESSAGE OR CALL ME WITH AN OFFER****** UP FOR AUCTION IS A ULTRA RARE 1968 TRIUMPH TR250 THAT HAS BEEN IN FLORIDA SINCE DAY 1. I PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM A GENTLEMAN WHO HAS OWNED THE CAR SINCE 03/14/1983. THIS CAR LEFT THE FACTORY PAINTED CODE 32, SIGNAL RED WITH CODE 13,... LIGHT TAN/BISCUIT INTERIOR. THIS CAR WAS PRODUCED ONE YEAR, 1968 WITH A TOTAL PRODUCTION AROUND 8,484 FOR THE US MARKET. IT IS SAID THAT LESS THAN 1000 EXIST TODAY THE TR250 WAS BUILT TO KEEP UP WITH THE COMPETITION. THE PERFORMANCE DEPRIVED TR4 WASN’T BOOMING IN SALES, AND WAS TOTALLY UNDERPOWERED (4 CYLINDER). TRIUMPH DECIDED TO BUILD THE TR250 IN THE SAME BODY STYLE AS A TR4, BUT ADDED THE 2,498CC INLINE 6 (2.5L) ENGINE BACKED BY THE DESIRABLE, INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION (IRS) AND 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION (THIS EXAMPLE). IN THE UK THEY OFFERED THE PI (PETROL INJECTION) MODEL, COINING IT A TR5. IN THE US, THE TR250 WAS BUILT AND HAD 2 ZENITH-STROMBERG CARBURETORS (TO MEET EMISSION REGULATIONS) THIS IS NICE ORIGINAL EXAMPLE WITH WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE THE ORIGINAL DRIVELINE & WAS TOLD THE MILES ARE ALSO ORIGINAL. THE CAR RUNS WELL, HARD ON START UPS AFTER SITTING. NO SMOKING, FUNNY ENGINE NOISES, ETC. I WOULD SUGGEST A MECHANICAL TUNE UP AS THE CAR HAS BEEN MOSTLY SITTING IN THE PREVIOUS OWNERS GARAGE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. I WOULD SUGGEST: CHECK OVER BRAKES, SUSPENSION COMPONENTS, FLUIDS, ETC.. THE TIRES ARE VERY OLD, AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE ORIGINAL WIRE WHEELS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE, AND THEY ARE ARE WRAPPED IN CORRECT REDLINE TIRES. THE KNOCKOFFS SHOW AGE, DINGS AND BLEMISHES FROM BEING REMOVED AND INSTALLED. THE BODY IS VERY NICE, NO MAJOR BLEMISHES TO SPEAK OF. THERE ARE A COUPLE SCRATCHES THAT WERE TOUCHED UP, SPECIFICALLY ON THE HEADLIGHT EYE BROWS. THE CHROME IS IN GOOD SHAPE, NOT PERFECT BUT CERTAINLY ACCEPTABLE FOR A DRIVER. THE RADIO IS NOT FUNCTIONAL. THE GAUGES WORK WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FUEL GAUGE. THE GEARBOX SHIFTS AS IT SHOULD AND DOES NOT JUMP OUT OF GEAR. THE BRAKES ARE FUNCTIONAL BUT A LITTLE WEAK (NO LEAKS). THE CLUTCH FEELS GOOD. THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS RUST FREE, IT IS REALLY NICE AND SOLID UNDERNEATH INCLUDING HE FRAME. ROCKER PANELS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE TOO. BOTTOMS OF THE DOORS ARE CLEAN AND RUST FREE. INCLUDED IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP BOOT, AND THREE DIFFERENT TONNEAU COVERS. ALSO A CUSTOM INTAKE MANIFOLD THAT HAS A 2BBL CARBURETOR & A BOX OF MISC. PARTS. OVERAL THIS IS A EXCELLENT DRIVER QUALITY TR250, WHICH IS A DIFFICULT CAR TO FIND. IT COULD USE SOME UPDATING TO BE A RELIABLE DAILY DRIVER, BUT NOT SOMETHING THAT NEEDS A COMPREHENSIVE RESTORATION. THE BODY/PAINT & INTERIOR IS VERY NICE. THE INTERIOR DOOR PANELS HAVE A LITTLE WARPING AND COULD BE RE FASTENED TO LOOK 100%
