1947 Studebaker Additional Info:
Very rare and well kept 1947 Studebaker 1 1/2 ton M16. This trucks been located here in the high desert in Northern California since it was new, used locally in the Walnut orchards. Always being stored in the packing sheds during the off season has kept the body and chassis in really nice condition. This trucks powered by its original Studebaker Big Commander 226 Flathead 6 engine backed by the stock Warner T9 Crash Box 4 Speed Transmission. Its nicely equipped with a 2 speed rear axle. All the running gear is in very nice condition and the truck starts and runs really smoothly. Interior has an updated seat and the dash is beautiful. The speedo is non op as well as the fuel gauge but are serviceable. Lights and blinkers are working as well as the door and window mechanisms. The trucks Emergency Brake assembly is missing. Wing window flat side glass has some cracks. Heavy well built steel 10'x7' Flat Bed sports a really nice heavy duty tow hitch. The gorgeous bed is built from 80 year old Heart Redwood planks with stainless steel fasteners. 8.25x20 Tires on vintage Budd split rims. 152" Wheelbase. Clear California title in hand. Currently registered and insured.
