1947 Studebaker M16 Flatbed Additional Info:
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we wrap up our 21st year in the classic and muscle car business. Here's something that we don't see every day. Check out this classic 1947 Studebaker M16 1.5 Ton flatbed truck. Studebaker introduced their M series trucks in 1941 with the 1/2-ton M5, the 1-ton M15, and the 1.5-ton M16. The attractive and modern cab shared some body panels with the Champion passenger car but the hood, fenders, and grille were unique to the trucks. These incredibly tough trucks were produced until 1948 and formed the foundation for Studebaker's legendary US6 2.5-ton military trucks. The 100,000 US6's that were given to the Soviet Union so impressed the Russians that, when the war ended, G.I.'s reported that Russians used the word 'Studebaker' instead of 'truck' when conversing in English! Our nicely restored M16 features the correct Commander 226 ci I6 (EN 3M39375) engine, 4-speed manual transmission, dual rear axle, good interior, and a fresh flatbed. The beautifully designed cab is noted for its swept-back windshield and side window vents that were unique to medium duty trucks of the period. Studebaker has been an iconic name in American manufacturing for generations, having produced wagons from 1852, making this classic truck an ideal attention getter for your business. Wine barrels not included! Street Dreams 830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
