THIS CAR IS A RESTORATION PROJECT. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY AND LOOK AT ALL OF THE PHOTOS. I AM BEING AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE IN MY DESCRIPTION, ND WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS PROMPTLY. MORE PHOTOS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
I've owned this vehicle for about 17 years (I'm the second owner, nd still have the bill of sale), ut I haven't driven it in about eight. It was my local daily driver for a while, ut one day just wouldn't turn over. I had planned on restoring it, ut I haven't had the time to do so. It was in a garage for most of its life, ut I had to push it out into the driveway about a year ago.
This car needs A LOT of work. The body is perfect, ut needs a new paint job. There's no rust, ut it's oxidized in some places, nd peeling around the underside of the hood.
I don't know why it stopped running, nd I haven't had a mechanic look at it in a long time.
There's a lot going on with the car conditionally, ut I know someone out there is going to think it's a worthwhile restoration project.
This is the list of what I KNOW needs to be repaired/replaced:
  • windshield - seriously cracked, ut still holding
  • passenger window regulator/cable - window falls down inside the door; currently taped off
  • headliner - peeling around sunroof seals
  • removable sunroof seal/gasket - i would think this needs to be replaced because of the headliner issue, ut it's not taking on water or anything
  • sunroof interior panel - it's basically falling off
  • rear wiper - removed - may also need a new motor
  • carpeting - discolored throughout most of the vehicle
  • fuel tank (leaked)
  • dashboard console - cracked in a few places, efinitely needs to be replaced
  • driver's side visor mount

Again, don't know why it stopped running. It has a fully intact original 1986 engine, fully rebuilt automatic transmission (somewhat rare on this model), nd all other original parts, ncluding the Blaupunkt stereo.
I have most of the service records for the car, nd it's got a clean (blue) New York State title.
If you're looking for a major project, his is a great little car… and it even comes with a sealed Haynes repair manual.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this vehicle will be donated to the COPD Foundation, n honor of my father.
