1972 Porsche 356A 1600 Speedster replica

4 Cylinder engine 4- speed transmission Rare Coral colored exterior Tan Interior

The Porsche 356 is a luxury sports car produced by German company Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche GmbH (1950-1965). It was Porsche’s first production automobile. The 356 was a lightweight and nimble-handling rear-engine rear-wheel-drive 2-door sports car available in hardtop coupe and open configurations. Engineering innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity. The 356A identified by distinctive twin round taillights, were only offered in 1956 through early 1957.

MotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest addition, this 1972 Porsche 356A speedster replica, a tribute to one of the most renowned coach builders in Germany, Reutter Carosserie-Werke, and in 1949 Porsche started using their bodies for their sports cars. When operations moved to Stuttgart, it became the main supplier of Porsche bodies for nearly two decades. It didn’t take discerning auto enthusiasts very long to realize that these Reutter-bodied Porsches were built to a higher standard than could be found on vehicles from most competing nameplates. Reutter’s exemplary workmanship was evident in the quality of components and in overall fit-and-finish.

This recently manufactured and low mileage example of a 356A “bathtub” Porsche is presented in a brilliant Coral with body color-matching front and rear bumpers… a sure bet to turn heads! Highly polished “steelies” with matching full Porsche crested hub caps, shod with BF Goodrich period correct white wall tires. The seats are finished off in deep rich tan upholstery and the theme is carried onto the dash itself!. The tan canvas cloth top is in great condition and matches well with including the side window curtains, the tan carpet is matched with the rest of the interior, windshield is very good, trim pieces all well represented, Neolite glass headlights, even a Banjo Steering wheel with the iconic Zodiac/St Christopher horn button, a very hot accessory back in the day! a highly polished 1600 4 cylinder engine and is mated with 4 speed manual transmission. This example features the best of both worlds, the iconic Porsche speedster of the sixties with the reliability of modern technology. GET OUT AND DRIVE!…in this tribute to a simpler time!
