1967 Pontiac Le Mans Additional Info:

This is one for the collector who like to be a bit different. This 1967 Pontiac LeMans keeps its premium classic attitude, and it even has its correct OHC motor still under the hood. It's a truly unique coupe that is even coming off of long-term ownership.

The '67 LeMans has always been an impressive car. It has premium touches like the flying buttress C-pillars and form-fitting chrome bumpers. And this combines with sporty details like the stacked headlights and Coke-bottle curves of the profile. So it's instantly understandable why this example would be nicely preserved. There have been a few subtle upgrades over the years. The factory-correct Champagne paint was resprayed later in life give this a nice shine in the sunlight. And the upgraded 15-inch alloys are a nice touch that are distinctive without being boisterous. In fact, this one really impresses with its history. The Clearwater dealership tag on the rear is believed correct for when this was sold new. This has likely been a Florida car all its life, and it has been under the care of the same owner for the last three decades.

It's hard not to make comparisons to the GTO when you step inside. After all, there's always a sporty feeling with a bucket seat coupe. But where the muscle car always has a bit of a dark attitude, the luxury LeMans feels more classy and cheerful. The seats, door panels, and headliner all have their factory-correct gold vinyl. And this one also has been given some worthwhile upgrades to keep this classic LeMans feeling like a nice cruiser even in modern times. There's a custom wood center console with cup holders, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, auxiliary gauges, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input for modern driving music. There are even provisions for R134a air conditioning (will need servicing to blow cold again.)

While this LeMans already has plenty of vintage charm, your favorite part will likely be under the hood. John DeLorean had transformed Pontiac into an engineering-focused car company, and this 230 cubic-inch OHV inline-six motor is one of those achievements. So while there are many people out there over the years who have made a V8 swap on the way to GTO clones, it has only made a distinct setup like this one here an even rare sight. That's why we're particularly happy to see what's believed to be the original motor still in the engine bay today. This is even going for a Sprint-style setup with a Rochester four-barrel carburetor on top. Plus, the automatic transmission, power steering, strong brakes, and modern tires make for an all-around nice classic cruiser.

The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and service manuals. It's hard to find a OHC Pontiac with nice features and long-term care. So if you appreciate a truly distinctive classic, call today!
