1972 Pontiac GTO Additional Info:

1972 GTO 455 H.O. 4 speed Rock Crusher WW5 for sale. Built in Faribault, MN.

Very Desirable Lucerne Blue w/ White Vinyl top and Interior. 1 of only 310 built with the 455 H.O. and the M22 Rock Crusher.

In addition, only 290 of the 635 total H.O. cars built in 1972 were ordered with the Rare WW5 performance package. This WW5 package included the 455 H.O. Motor, Rally Gage Cluster and IP Tach, Formula Steering Wheel, Sport Mirrors, Very Large Special Front & Rear Sway Bars and a few other things..That 290 number includes BOTH manuals and automatics. The entire drivetrain is original to this car with the exception of the BLOCK only. It currently has a 2 bolt 455 block BUT....I do have a correct "WM" code short block that goes with the car. Everything else is original incl. Heads, Intake, Carb, Unitized Distributor, M22 RockCrusher and 12-bolt 3:55 "XV" axle. Original Ram Air Pans & Boots are also present.

This is a very solid car that very much deserves a good restoration. There is some repair work needed at fender bottoms and lower rear qtrs. right behind wheels. Not too much rust in these areas but it is present. Floors, Rockers, Doors, Window surrounds etc are ALL solid. Some slight surface rusting is starting in those under floor areas but everything is rock solid....

Hood IS bent unfortunately. Deck lid has holes from prior owner mounting a wing.

The Interior is 100% Original

Car Runs And Drives. Mostly all original and other than older bad paint job it has ever really been taken apart. A good honest car.

It is currently painted an incorrect darker blue.

This is a very RARE car. Cut and paste the following Link to the PY Forums on a discussion about WW5 Cars. Read thru the posts on this site and you will get a sense on how truly rare these cars are.

This car that is for sale is referred to on this list of known cars. It is known as the "Late 4 spd. Car built in Faribault, MN."

This is a limited chance at a WW5 car, an option that cost an unbelievable $982
