1977 Pontiac Trans Am WS4 W72 L78 Additional Info:

Just rolled over 40,000 original miles. Original build sheet! 90% original paint! Original decals showing age "character"! Excellent original interior! All numbers matching W-72 400 equipped 6.6 T/A. Brentwood Brown Metallic paint in outstanding original condition. Some chips here and there that have been touched up over the years. Beautiful straight body with zero rust, patches, or any signs of previous repairs. Original date coded fenders, inner fenders, and other body panels. Rare options like cruise control, GM factory floor mats, engine block heater, power steering, power disc brakes (front). Car was ordered with Rally II wheels instead of Snowflakes. No road rash or curb marks on the factory Rally II's.
Original door hinges with no sag in the least. Doors open and close with excellent tight fit and sound. Windows roll up and down smooth and easy. All glass is clear with no scratches, cracks, or other imperfections. Windows never tinted. Mint trunk features original unused "Space Saver" spare tire plus original inflator bottle.
Quarter panels, trunk pan, and floor pans are original and rock solid. Original trunk mat. All chrome and stainless trim is original and looks like new. Original shaker hood with factory original hood bird still in place. One of my favorite things about this car is the ageing shown in the original hood bird. Front and rear spoilers display excellent fit and finish as do the wheel spats.
All headlights, taillights, brake lights, park lights, blinkers are clear and working. Seat upholstery is mint condition with no rips, seam separation, stains, or unusual wear. Original carpet is very nice with no stains, matting, or worn spots. Factory GM floor mats for all 4 seating areas. Dash and console are beautiful with no cracks or warping. Gauge bezels and lenses are mint and all lights and gauges work with the exception of the clock. All seat belts and shoulder harnesses are crisp, clean, and in excellent condition. Only non-stock item is a period correct Pioneer AM/FM cassette unit with Jensen 6 X 9 speakers in factory location in the package shelf. It works and the dash was not cut to install.
This car does everything extremely well. Starts immediately first time every time, choke and kickdown both work perfectly. Idles down on its own as it warms up. Shifts smooth and quiet. 3.23 posi turns smooth and quiet. Suspension is super tight with no slop, noise or other bad habits. Sits perfectly. No squeaks, rattles, or wind noise. Original spark plugs and wires are in the trunk.
This car is not restored. I have owned over 10 years. In recent years the headliner glue has begun to let go in a couple small areas. The headliner is of the foamed back perforated soft leatherette type material. I suspect the foam is aging/deteriorating but I have not had it looked at simply because I have not found an upholster I have enough confidence in.
