Torpedo Super 8

Thinning down my collection and this car is just simply stunning. I will let the photos speak for themselves, but can attest to the fact that this is one gorgeous looking gorgeous driving car. Silk smooth and the engine and mechanicals are whisper quiet.

I have owned this for 5 years. The only thing I can say negative about this car is that it will require some work on the convertible top mechanism. I have never vetted it out, and have put the top down manually. Otherwise, get in a drive. Anywhere.

I bought the car from the estate of the former owner, who had owned it for many years then proceeded to do a frame up nut and bolt restoration on this car for which I have photos. This work was done possibly 15 years ago and is still fresh, as the car really has not been driven in any weather and has always been garaged under cover. I was the first to put the top down on it.

Paint, upholstery, top, chrome, tires, you name it. Like new. Just an utterly sweet 40s convertible.

Note...I have a ton of spares for this car, including NOS parts and a full long block with all accessories. All go with the car.

You are bidding to buy, not for the option to inspect then decide if you want the car, so please perform any due diligence, inspections, tire kicking, financing discussions, etc. prior to placing your bid. While I have attempted to describe this car with great detail, please remember that you are bidding on a vintage custom automobile which is being offered "as is' with no warranties, expressed or implied. The car is garaged in South Orange New Jersey, about ½ hour from Midtown Manhattan NYC and 20 Minutes from Newark International Airport. Shipping arrangements are your own responsibility.
