Hello,Up for auction is a 1948 Pontiac Torpedo Coupe. This is a very nice and solid California Car with no rust. Car was built as a mild traditional Custom Hot Rod in mind.The body is relatively stock, but inside the heart of the car is what counts. This was a frame off build. The engine is a Chevy small block 350. It has an Edelbrock AFB 600 cfm 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, headers, dual exhaust, and is internally mild. The engine is backed by a GM Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Inside you will see that it has a Lokar shifter. The taller shifter is reminiscent of the 1950s. The rear end is a Ford 9" with taller gears for smooth highway driving. The wiring is new, is a 12 volt system, and all lights work. The car rides on an air ride suspension system, and is very comfortable . In the trunk, a new Ford Mustang gas tank is mounted, and works perfect. Battery and air tank are professionally mounted inside the trunk.The interior was done in nostalgic white "Tuck & Roll" . To keep with the traditional theme, high end retro "Winged" Stewart Warner gauges are fabricated in to the original Pontiac dash. A very clean look.A full set of 15" Coker wide white walls are mounted on chrome steel wheels, and again, give this car a cool Custom Hot Rod appeal.The color of the car is mint green, and it goes great with the white interior.Side Note: I have a detail bag with Griots Garage products. The winner of this car will get some nice polish and micro fibre cloths to give the car a nice detail before taking it out for a cruise.The car runs, drives, stops, and steers the way it should.
