1970 Plymouth GTX
440 matching numbers motor, Factory Black Car.
Car was purchased about 6 years ago from the estate of a good friend. Prior to my friend buying the car it had been changed to automatic from 4 speed and had been tubbed for intention of making a ¼ mile track car. For the many years Lee had owned the car it sat on a lift out of the way in his heat treating business with several other exotics. Lee loved his cars and enjoyed looking at them but unfortunately due to some health issues was unable to fully enjoy them. The cars were carefully taken care of and inspected yearly to keep them up to date.
Once I took possession it was time for some updates and improvements that I felt would make the car a great street cruiser.
1st came A/C for comfort which is a complete kit professionally installed by my mechanic.

This system is made specifically for the car, works perfectly and blows super cold!
Next I ordered new wheels to get away from the dated centerlines it was wearing and added new Hoosier tires on all corners. Then to prevent body roll I mounted a Watts Linkage setup to the suspension which is an ingenious setup and works quite well.
MSD Ignition and MSD Atomic Fuel Injection with a new aluminum fuel cell were installed to make the 440 wake up and that it did.
The trans was rebuilt with a new torque converter to make sure the new power was sent properly to the bulletproof Dana 60 rear.
Hooker headers and new exhaust to the rear were next along with many other little things to improve as I continued to tinker including a nice sound system with amp in trunk.
As much as I enjoy this car It is time for a new owner.
Here is a quick video to take a look, car is available to be seen for serious buyers only:

The car runs good, sounds good, feels good and gets all the attention everywhere you go.
