1979 MG MGB MK IV Convertible 2-Door Additional Info:

I'm a car collector and was recently able to acquire this nice original MGB from a seller who was in a crunch for the garage space and more importantly, a quick sale. I've driven it around town and it drives strong. I've owned three MGB's and one MGB GT over the past twenty years and this is nicer than most of what I'm seeing offered for more. Since my collection is now mostly Volvo's and Saab's, this MGB would be better suited for an English roadster fan. It's nearly impossible to find this much fun for less than five grand.
The Basics:
99,158 original miles (speedometer and odometer are accurate)runs well and shifts with no issueselectric fuel pumporiginal single carb setuporiginal engine. I have no history to say whether or not the engine is original or has been rebuiltvery minor, typical oil spotting on my garage floor- standard stuff on any Bnice quality aftermarket wood steering wheel with MG horn hubaftermarket wood shift knob with new shifter bootaftermarket am/fm cd with door speakersvery good, dry top with minor repairs (see two photos)excellent tan vinyl seats and door panelsMGB rubber floor mats over excellent black carpetTrunk area has custom fit carpet.Full spare tire with coverconvertible top boot coveroriginal jack in factory storage bagoriginal steering wheel included with mounting bracket4 excellent tires with painted Rostyle wheels and trim ringsChrome trunk mounted luggage rackall gauges work including the clock and map light
I see a small rust bubble about the size of a quarter that hasn't broken through yet on top of the drivers door near the window vent. Rockers and dog legs look solid. Minor rust under both sides of the frame near doors, otherwise it appears the car was previously rust treated underneath. While I have no history on the paintwork it appears to have been professionally repainted at least once in the original Brooklands green color. There is a minor paint crack on the hood near the MG badge.
This is not a show car and priced accordingly. It's a solid, mechanically sorted driver that is a real looker and finished in the best MG color combination.
