Up for sale is a 1951 Mercury 2 door. This car is an original Texas car and has been off the road and in storage for 50+ years. This car has the original paint, original Flathead V8, and the original manual transmission. This is a fairly solid car. Like most, it could use some patch work on the floors, rockers, trunk floor, & front fenders. The original frame is very solid and clean. As the pictures show, it has the original paint with the factory primer and surface rust showing. The car has a few dings and dents, and a few strategically placed bullet holes. I would wet sand and clear coat this car and leave as is. The hood and doors open fine. I can't get the trunk open. The windows were removed in preparation to chop the top and lost. A new roof skin has been professionally welded in place. The seat frames, extra trim, and a 49-50 2 door Mercury roof section is included in the sale. What you see on the car and in the pictures is all I have included in this sale.I have not tried and will not try to turn the motor over. The car has 3 original Mercury steel wheels with 4 matching bias ply wide ww tires with new tubes. This car is an excellent restoration project. Mercury's in this condition are getting very hard to find. I have a clean and clear title in my name. I have set a fair reserve and will not reveal it so please don't ask.
