Igot this car to restore and make a 2nd driver car, but we since then got our dealer licenses and became a used car dealer and don't have time to restore the car.
The only mechanical problem with the Benz that I know of is the starting, it seems to have a fuel delivery issue on start-up. I can give it a shot of starting fluid and it starts right up. Once you start it and it runs for a few minutes, it will start up again, no problem. I'm thinking it is like a fuel pump check valve or pump itself. We just have not took time to chase it down. The person I got this Benz from owned it and drove it for over 5 years - he took a lot of care of it. He even changed the rims out shortly before I bought it with S-Class Chrome Custom Rims, roughly $ 1,000.00 value in the rims alone. Over all this car is 30 years old and needs some exterior and interior work. After the Mercedes starts, it starts EASY and drives down the road good!
