Check out this nice original one owner 1981 CJ-5! This one was purchased brand new in Monrovia,CA and has been well taken care of!This one is powered by the peppy 258 6 cylinder and backed by with a 4 speed manual transmission.The four wheel drive works and still lights up on the dash.It has a more reliable and expensive Howell TBI setup plus a new radiator,thermostat and water pump.It has 2 brand new batteries also.There is a underhood battery selector switch and the auxiliary battery runs the Ramsey winch setup.The Ramsey winch controller works great.It also has KC lights installed but are currently inop. The Goodyear Wranglers have excellent tread and are mounted the factory white painted styled wheels! The original Goodyear Tracker spare with lock and key is mounted on the factory rear swingaway carrier.The ACME fiberglass top is very nice shape overall,but it does need rear window struts.It is equipped with a rear towing package and has the optional positraction rear axle.The front springs have a extra leaf installed due to the weight of the winch.It has Rancho shocks installed also.The factory original Steel Gray Metallic still looks pretty good but it does have some "patina" for being 35 years old! The body is very straight and totally rustfree! The frame and floors look great,and I was told it was rustproofed when purchased new.All the glass is clean and damage free! It has a kayak rack for the roof and tow bar for the front.The original blue seats are underneath the fitted seat covers and have minor wear.The original black carpet is still in the Jeep! It has a padded roll bar also.It was equipped with the optional clock,ashtray and lighter (never used as shown). All the gauges work accordingly.It has a vintage Pioneer stereo cassette stereo installed.I have the original AMC keys and Acme hardtop install manual and door keys,plus the Jeep owners and Howell service manual and Jeep dealer brochure.
