1961 International Harvester Other Metro short school bus Additional Info:

RARE! 1961 international metro short bus, this was originally a jitney public transportation bus, an still has the coin drop in it where you paid to get on, I'm not sure how many of the bus style metros with the windows are still in existence, but I know it's very few, this bus is set up on a Tahoe frame with independent suspension up front, air ride all the way around, disc brakes, frame notched in the rear with 4 link, fuel injected 350, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, with the air let out this thing sits on the ground! It airs up to about the stock suspension height of a metro, the motor runs good, all the stock harness was used from whatever the motor an tranny was pulled from, tranny shifts good, has a bad power steering leak that's gonna need fixed, loses fluid pretty fast, I believe it's a seal in the steering box, it has 2 switches, one for the front bags an one for the rear, one of the side windows is missing in the pics, I do have it an is included in auction, the floor inside the bus has been redone in the rear to cover back up the notches as seen in pics, the body has a couple sheet metal issues down low as seen in pics where some rust repair needs to be done, the floors are very solid, has the original side bus door, rear drivers escape door an a fancy roll up back glass that only these bus style metros have, the paint is something previous owner did an is just a bunch of multi colored spray painting, this bus is very rat rodish, do not bid on this expecting a show vehicle, it gets tons of looks an you probably won't see another one like it, it does have all working compressed an valves, I havnt driven the bus a whole lot, mainly around town, it might take need some lil attention here an there if a person wanted to drive it regularly, although the guy I got it from drove it all the time, I have clean clear title on it, serious bidders only please, do not bid if you don't have the funds to pay, buyer responsible for pickup or shipping, I don't recommend trying to hop in this an drive it home, I do have shippers that can help you get the vehicle wherever it may need to go, normally charging around $1.50 a mile, $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction end, remainder of payment due within 3 days of auction end, no reserve auction, I do have bus forsale locally an would consider ending the auction early for the right amount, any questions, please call or text 903-219-7412, thanks an happy bidding!
