1964 International Harvester Other Additional Info:
Cool old metro step van. Only 37k, Clean title. This one runs, drives, shifts but will need the brakes looked at. 3 speed on the column. Everything is there and in great shape. The body is extremely solid with barely any rust. There appears to have been a very old body repair on the passenger side where some filler has chipped out (see pictures). Tires are runnable but old, I would suggest replacing them. All the glass is there with only a very small crack in the passenger windshield. I was told this was originally a swat van from Bend, Or. Then it appears it was converted into an electrician's work van. All of the built in cabinets are super solid with no sign of any kind of rot. They were built correctly and quite heavy duty. It would almost be a shame to remove them. There are two very nicely installed captain's chairs as well as a bench seat and a counter for doing paperwork. This all appears to have been built in professionally as a custom install and is very well done. The last registration was in 1978. When I bought it I was told it was sitting in dry storage where found for the last 30+ years and it shows. I rebuilt the distributor, replaced coil, plugs and plug wires, installed a new electric fuel pump and it fired right up. This is a rare model as it is a 122" wheelbase but is a 3/4 ton without dual wheels in the rear. Almost all the 122's I have seen are 1 ton duallies. This would make a great food truck since you get the extra cargo space without carrying all the extra weight of the 1 ton chassis. The van will come with a clean Oregon title. Van is sold as-is, where-as so look at pictures closely and see video below. I did not have a chance to scope the gas tank yet so I am running it off of a gas can for the video. I can be reached with any other questions about the van at five-zero-three 550-9018. I have this advertised locally as well so if you want it I would suggest using the buy it now feature. $500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction close.
