1978 Ford Thunderbird Additional Info:

This automobile was sold locally by the Don Spangler Ford Dealership, Lock Haven, PA. back in 1978 and has remained a local car ever since.I believe this is the Diamond Jubilee version of the 1978 Thunderbird. It was customized for the buyer as a tribute to the 75th anniversary of Ford Motor Company. The factory would add custom personal touches for the individual buyer as requested. They did this for both the Thunderbird and the Continental. 31,110 original miles.

Full red leather interior like new condition. ALL original. V-8. This car was locally owned x 2. Garage kept. Never driven in rain or snow. Has a few minor paint chips. A/C may need recharged.some minor hesitation when accelerating from a stop. Runs like a champ out on the highway. Like new tires. This would make an awesome west coast lo-rider for the right owner. 3 sets of keys. some documentation in the glove box.

My dad was the 3rd owner and he hasn't had it on the road since 2012. I've been driving it for about a week to get it acclimated to sell. Just had it tuned up and inspected till 5/2019. I love this beast but I do not need a 4th auto. Clear title. Car cover included. A couple cheesy ass decals applied as an added dealership and Ford inclusive. Can be removed but I don't want to mess with it.
I am thinking the hesitation when accelerating from a stop is dirty carb. or butterfly valve? Also I am used to driving my Benz SL500 with its fancy schmancy suspension system so when I drive the T-Bird it feels like I am driving a boat on choppy waters, maybe all cars from the 70's feel that way?
