Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible GT Clone,The 66 Mustang was treated to a frame off restoration a few years ago by Mustangs of Chicago. The GT came with cut away dual exhausts exiting through the rear valance with trumpeted style pipes. The dash has the correct GT wood grain with 5 gauge cluster. 1966 GTs had the option of manual or automatic transmissions. This pony is equipped with it's correct Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission. The correct color and trim for our 66 was Emberglo Metallic body and Parchment Crinkle and Rosette Vinyl with Emberglo, standard interior. It's obvious the restoration shop thought the car would look much better in the current colors and the Pony interior and it looks like it worked well.
Classic looks are still in place with the stock radio. There are touches of wood accents throughout the car. The top has it's matching boot. The trim and decal package are distinctively GT making a very nice and as close to a GT as any. With a healthy running 289ci and a smooth 3-speed automatic transmission this convertible is ready to cruise and for greater stopping power this mustang has recently been upgraded with a power braking system, top down or top up it is a very clean looking car and all of the GT accents, add to the overall look. The power top works well and moves up and down with ease. So come check this Mustang out and take it for a drive you just might end up taking her home. For more information feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317.
Just last year, the Mustang was treated to the addition of a power booster and new master cylinder.at the same time, there were several other items replaced, such as, a new radiator.
We would like to thank the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight for their unique location used at many of our photo shoots.Be sure to visit this historical museum if you find yourself in the Dallas, Texas area.Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom is located only minutes away.
The undercarriage is very solid with just some surface rust showing on the brake discs and calipers and a few other spots.
