1966 Ford Mustang GT Additional Info:
1966 Ford Mustang Convertible Hi-Performance GT Clone
The car is painted in a stunning red with black racing stripes, black pony interior and black top with a new correct plastic back window.
This car underwent a $40 thousand dollar restoration by the previous owner. The car is outfitted with styled steel wheels and new red line tires - including a new spare never on the ground. There is less than 50 miles on all the tires.
The car has the high performance 271 HP badging and from the sound of the engine it appears rebuilt to that standard - I did not rebuild. I owned another 225 HP GT in 1994 and this is a much stronger engine. I have replaced the carpeting on the interior and installed a new, correct mat in the trunk.
The car has all the GT options except the correct script on the front lower fenders. I added a new center console and a new boot.
Interior is immaculate - it has the upgraded steering wheel with new exhaust tips through the rear valance. I have researched similar cars on multiple sales sites and would have no problem sitting this car beside any $40K to 60K examples. This car price is being set at $35,000.
If you want to discuss - call Duane at (412) 872-4092.
Seller has no capability to deliver - car is located in McKeesport, PA about 14 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, PA and is sold as is, where is, with no warranty implied or otherwise.
Seller does not know the actual mileage - but, the car is well restored. I have owned Mustang convertibles- including a real GT - this is the best one.
The car has some minor problems that need corrected:1. The turn signals do not automatically return - I have a new switch to go with car.2. The far right side of dash needs glued down.3. The interior light switches on door are missing.4. The light for the console is not hooked up.5. The red styled steel caps in front need replaced.6. The automatic top switch is moved.
