1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Additional Info:

A numbers-matching 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in a rare and original color. It even has an interesting performance history. Survivor cars might be hot right now, but when it's also one of the most desirable Mustangs even made, you know this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Calypso Coral was only offered for a couple of years on the Mustang, but it's one we love. After all, if feels like Ford's answer to Hugger Orange. And so to have this factory-correct paint also be factory-original is a serious find. While nothing lasts nearly half a century without some ageing, you can see from the pictures that this still has the kind of gloss and shine that will make you proud even it wasn't a survivor. This car was sold new out of sales region #22, which is Charlotte. It stayed within the same family for most of its life, and now it's being sold again still in its original sales district! In fact, this one was babied so much over its lifetime, that it's even believed that the mileage is actuate. More than just a terrific story this, has the attraction of being a one-year only design for the Mustang. Plus, we all love the look of a true Mach 1 that includes the fastback profile. Add in the hood scoop, hood pins, rocket panels, and black striping package on the hood and tail, and this is a terrific survivor-grade muscle machine.
There is no better muscle car interior than black, but getting down to speedy business doesn't mean missing out on comfort. After all, the texture of the factory-correct Comfort-Weave buckets have comfort right in their name. Plus, Ford was giving the Mustang an upscale feeling on these upper-level Mach 1s, and you see it in the coordinating wood applique on the center console, radio stack, dash, and door panels. It's even on the rim blow steering wheel (and yes, the horn still works a big sign of good care for Mustang people.)
When you pop the hood, that cool shaker dominates your view of the ultra clean engine bay. But you still can easily see all the right details like the big blue block and correct decals. And more than just looking great, you're viewing Ford's legendary 351 cubic-inch Cleveland V8, and the powerhouse is numbers-matching! There's even more to this car's performance tale. The story goes that this one was purchased new in the Charlotte area, and within the first few months, the owner took it back to Ford to have the Super Drag Pack added. That meant swapping the three-speed for a four-speed manual transmission, and a 3.91 rear end was installed for better power takeoffs. They even added the iconic shaker at the time. Not many dealers world do that kind of work today! So not only do you have a great story on a survivor Mustang, but also this is an improved machine where the Hurst shifter is now your gateway to so much more muscle car fun. Add in power steering, a thick front sway bar, and a growling newer Magnaflow dual exhaust, and this is the perfect Mustang to enjoy the long way to the car shows.
Complete with title documentation, rarely do powerful ponies also qualify for survivor status. So don't miss this special classic coupe. Call now!
