Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to showcase this unique 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 with some modern updates while retaining its classic features such as the correct light blue metallic paint, body lines, and 289 V8 engine. The wheels give the car an updated stance and can be easily changed. The interior features the original dash, gauges, and steering wheel along with the factory bench seat, restored in vinyl & cloth. Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.

As always, we would like to thank the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum for their special location used in many of our photographs. Be sure to visit the museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas.

The exterior displays a driver-quality repaint of the original light blue metallic paint. The paint and body are decent, not perfect. The doors, hood, trunk and roofline are straight as are the fenders and quarters with some flaws down low. The paint loks a little faded on the hood in certain lighting. Please look carefully through our detailed photos and again feel free to contact us with any questions. This is an overall attractive car and it is fun to drive. Be sure to check out our video.

The engine runs exceptionally strong with some basic upgrades. A Holley 4bbl. carburetor was installed atop the Edelbrock dual plane Performer RPM aluminum intake. This car was born a "C" code 2bbl. 289 car. The dual exhaust breathes through cast iron manifolds. Accessories are power steering and air conditioning. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support sheetmetal condition appears solid and original throughout. There is a small amount of surface rust in the trunk but it is very solid.

The original warranty plate is intact and legible. This is a Fairlane 500 (63B) in Silver Blue (Y) ordered to New Orleans, Louisiana (64 DSO) with 2.80 gearing (6) and a C4 automatic transmission (6)

The door panels are custom fitted and the door undersides are solid. There are some rust bubbles beginning on the lower area of the driver's side door, photographed further below.

The interior is in great shape. The bench seating has been restored in cloth and vinyl while the dash retains the original gauge cluster. An aftermarket radio has been installed in a homemade radio box/center console. The headliner has been replaced along with the headliner and carpeting. There is an era-correct underdash Mark IV air conditioning unit installed that blows cold and has the vintage instructions included.

The dash pad is in good shape, there is a crack at the center speaker grille. The factory instrument cluster is intact along with the original AM radio. The speedometer is functional.

The upholstery is very nice, reupholstered in cloth and vinyl front to back.

This Fairlane 500 has a great stance and curb appeal to it.

The trunk is clean and detailed, complete with the correct trunk, spare tire/wheel and jacking equipment.

The undercarriage displays original flooring and framework front to back with some minor rust, photographed above. The spring mounts are solid and there is surface rust on the pans. The inner quarters look solid too. A custom H-pipe dual exhaust system has been installed.

Paint flaws that were aforementioned are photographed above. There are a few bubbles on the lower area of the driver's door and a pencil eraser sized bubble showing on the quarter panel.

The inner quarters, trunk pan and trunk lid are in very good condition.

Enjoy our remaining photos and again feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.
