88,171 miles
Last on the road in 1970! Just recently removed from storage and put back on the road. There's a stack of old inspection tickets as well as oil change stickers on the door that show that the odometer reading of 88,171 miles is correct. Less than 1,000 miles were put on it after it's last inspection in 1970. It starts, runs and drives great. Just put over 100 miles on it the other day. Original fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge and AMP gauge are in correct working order. All the lights work with the exception of the interior lights. The charging system will need some attention as it only charges intermittently, never caused me any problems though.
To be made roadworthy the brake system was entirely redone with:
  • Rebuilt master cylinder
  • New brake shoes and mounting hardware
  • New wheel cylinders
  • All new steel brake lines and rubber hoses

The cooling system recived:
  • New aluminum radiator (original included with car)
  • New water pumps from Bob Drake
  • New radiator hoses
  • New thermostats

And the engine was tuned up with:
  • New points, condenser, and distributor cap
  • New spark plugs and wires
  • New coil
  • Original Holley 94 carb was rebuilt

The fuel tank was removed, inspected and flushed. And a new battery was also installed. The suspension was lowered 3" all around with lowering blocks in the rear and new lowered springs with matchingshocks up front. It has a fresh set of Coker Classic wide whitewall radial tires. It rides great!

Usual rust spot in fender bottom. Just in the outer sheetmetal, inner brace is solid.
Small rust spot in outer rocker panel near rear of door.
Lower quarter is solid and rust free.
No rust or bubbling above the wheel opening.
Very minor de-lamination at bottom of glass. Windows function smoothly.
Rear glass is clear
Small dent in left side of trunk lid.
Dent/wrinkled area above rear bumper
Trunk is solid and rust free.
No rust in the spare tire well.
Trunk and rear tail panel are solid and rust free.
No rust or bubbling above wheel opening.
Small spot of rust in rear quarter in front of rear wheel.
Outer rocker panel has a rust hole near rear of driver side door.
Usual rust spot at bottom of fender.
Minor de-lamination of glass at bottom of driver side front window. Window functions smoothly.
Side glass is clear.
Rear glass is clear.
Windshield is clear and in great shape.
Last inspection sticker from 1970.
Original interior.
Generic floor mat over rust free floors.
Rust free rear floors.
Rear seat has been recovered. Original cover may be underneath.
Original headliner. Few small holes at front near windshield.
Hood release cable and accelerator pedal have been replaced.
All gauges function correctly.
New aluminum radiator, water pumps, thermostats and hoses.
Last inspection ticket dated 1970 showing 87,250 miles. Odometer now reads 88,171
Original Ford keys for door andignition!
All new steel brake lines throughout.
Gas tank has been cleaned and flushed.
New lowered coil springs and shocks.
Body mounts are solid.
Minor rust where passenger side floor pan meets inner rocker.
Inner rocker panel is solid and rust free.

One rust hole in driver side floorboard. Body mount is solid and rust free.
Rear body mounts are solid and rust free.
Driver side inner rocker is solid and rust free.
