1947 Ford Other Super Deluxe Additional Info:
This is an original unmolested car that was owned by the previous owner for over 25 years before I bought it three years ago. During that time he restored it to its current condition. He told me it wasn't a show car but was built as a touring car for Early V8 Ford events. It has been shown and placed in the touring class andwon'tembarrass anyone anywhere. I believe I am the third owner. I purchased the car tohave an early Ford while I was restoring another old Ford. That other car is now running and I'm ready to let this one go as I simplydon't have the garage space I had planned. I have driven the car in the western US and Canada. It is a great driver that is ready to go anywhere. You can safely cruise at highway speeds as far as you care to go. This is definitely a fly in and drive it home automobile. Paint is not show quality but is very presentable. The interior has been replaced with Lebaron Bonny materials and is correct for the year. The interior is in excellent condition as is the trunk and engine bay. The car has been restored to original and owned by older responsible drivers its entire life. I replaced the stock exhaust with dualglasspacks. I am currently running chrome wheels and radial tires but the original wheels with white wall correct tires go with the car. The picture by the ocean shows the dual exhaust tips and chrome wheels. The door is partially open in that picture. There is nothing wrong with the door, it justwasn't noticed that it was not completely closed when the picture was taken. The original and correct 59AB flathead V8 was rebuilt and has no issues other than the normal oil seepage from the main seals. The car uses less than a half pint of oil between changes. The original carburetor and fuel pump have been restored by a professional in the past year. The original distributer and coil have also been serviced by a professional. I can think of nothing the car needs to start a cross country trip. I will send pictures of any particular part of the car requested. I have tried my best to describe everything about the car but please look the car over, ask any questions and have it inspected prior to bidding. There is a possibility I will be heading to Texas and the midwest in early December. If so I would be willing to deliver for a portion of the fuel cost.
Any buyers from outside the United States or Canada musthave someone physically inspect the car and pay for it with US dollars before delivery.
