1966 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
This is a 1966 mustang that I bought a while back to restore, it was a 6 cylinder automatic. I disassembled the car and did alot of sanding to get it ready for body work and paint, that is as far as I got. I have so many irons in the fire I do not have time to to a proper restoration. As you can see the body is in very good condition as well as the doors and finders. As you can see at some point in it's life it has had some work done to it. The floor has been replaced from the hump back, the front section has some small pin rust areas in it, I was going to replace this an should be replaced to do it right. The rocker area is as solid as a rock, the finders are very good except for an area in the lower rear, I have one of the finders partially sanded as you can see the area I am referring to,(see photo). The doors are also very good, they do have some rust along the bottom but very fixable. Frame rails are good,The rear quarter area as you can see in the photos has had some work but should be redone or new quarter panels installed. The trunk lid is very good as well as the area around where the tank goes, I removed the tank as I was going to put a new one in it. The front radiator support was just fine but someone cut a hole in it the size of a softball so I removed it along with the bottom brace. I bought a new radiator support and bottom brace that goes with the car. The shock towers are in great shape, nothing needs done to them. The hood was really the only problem part on the car, it was rusted from the inside out so I got ride of it, I was going to find a good used one or put an aftermarket one on it. The front and rear glass was dis-guarded, had a lot of scratches, still have the door and wing glasses. Over all the car is in very good shape to fix without having to cut it apart and replace everything on it. As I said earlier the car was a 6 cylinder car, I was going to put a 289 back in it along with changing to front and rear drive train (5 lug). I ended up with 2 engines. One is a 5 bolt bell housing motor(blue one) with casting numberC4OE 6015-F and the other one(red one) C6AE 6015-0. The blue motor has been completely rebuilt from the bottom up and has never been started 0 miles. The red motor came from a mustang that had a full restoration with just a hand full of miles with the motor rebuilt. The gentleman that had the car to make a hot rod out of his car so he removed the 289 to put something bigger in it so I acquired it as well. I also have an extra intake and carter 4b carburetor that goes with the car. The tag on the intake is stamped C 67 15, not sure what that all means. The car comes with one of the engines, red one or blue one your choice but if you want both I will sell the other one for an extra $500.00. I was going to put an automatic transmission back in the car, I picked up a used one to rebuild, it has now the 6 bolt bell housing on it, I also have an extra 5 bolt bell housing for the blue motor. This is a complete car minus the hood, and gas tank, everything is there to reassemble it.
I hope I didn't leave anything out, I did my best to describe what I have. If you have any questions please ask before bidding and I will do my best to answer them. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is requires within 24 hours of the end of auction and the balance is due within 7 days. The car is located just north of Portsmouth Ohio, anyone is welcome to come look at it. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end early.
