1987 Fiat Bertone Dino package Additional Info:

The Fiat Bertone X/19 is the most affordable mid-engine classic on the market today, and frankly one of the best values. With all deference to the Porsche 914, which is essentially a VW, the Bertone designed X/19 draws its DNA directly from Ferrari. As an homage to the similarly designed Ferrari Dino 308 GT4, our particular example incorporates the classic two-tone Dino paint scheme with upgraded full leather seats and matching door panels. The car comes with the hard to find original Bertone designed alloy wheels, with ultra rare optional Dino 308 style Cromodora Magnesium wheels available as an option. NO rust to be seen above or below belt line. Undercarriage is super clean as well.
The Bertone version of the X/19 was sold in the USA from 1983-1988, following Fiat's withdrawal from the North American market. Improved build quality and an upgraded interior were key features. These late cars are highly desirable, as they included five speed transmissions and larger fuel injected engines. This example is a Roadster Salon entry level restoration. As mentioned previously, the car has new leather seats and door panels, refurbished interior components and fresh custom paint. It also receives our mechanical certification and warranty. It is a highly collectible classic that is reliable, tremendous fun to drive, and likely to appreciate in the future. The targa style roof stores in the front compartment. The design allows for a much stiffer body structure than a standard convertible, and more protection for the driver.
Behind the wheel/Driving experience
The Bertone X/19 is sure to attract buyers who are looking for a classic with a higher level of refinement and more in common with a contemporary sports car. While small in stature, the car is surprisingly comfortable inside. It offers superb handling due to its mid-engine configuration, and great balance. Road manners are excellent. The rigid body structure inspires confidence. Shifting is smooth, steering effort light and precise. Braking is very good for any era. Just a lovely car overall.
Cosmetics
Brand new interior with high-end materials make the car feel much more expensive than it really is. The two-tone paint is tasteful and fresh. No digs or scratches. Trim is in great condition, and all switches appear to work properly. No cracks or chips in the glass. Both front and rear trunks have tough undercoating material to protect against scrapes and potential rust. Nicely re-done for the price.
Mechanical condition
This car is "certified fresh" with no maintenance concerns. New water pump and cooling system refresh. All wear items checked, no leaks, tight suspension and solid drive line. Car is ready to roll. Has Roadster Salon warranty package.
Market guide
NADA classic car guide posts the value for an average X/19 at $10,800, and clean at just under $20,000. This wide range reflects just how few of these cars remain in top cosmetic and mechanical condition. Considering the cost of the car and Roadster Salon's process, we believe this example to be the best value in an X/19 currently available. Don't miss it!
