FIAT X-1/9 AN EXOTIC FOR THE MASSES

1984 BERTONE FIAT CONVERTIBLE ROADSTER

The odometer 145,132 miles for present owner. California owner put 144,845 on the car. Current owner has put only 287 miles on the car. Car was serviced after shipment from California with oil change-synthetic, oil filter, fluids and new battery.

Originally purchased in California, it resided in that state under a single owner

until the current seller purchased the car in March, 2016.

Completely original expect for radio; no modifications.

The car is super clean and has no rust.

5-Speed Manual Transmission

Always garaged and Targa Roof.

The X-1/9's mid-mounted engine features storage compartment both front and rear.

Front Tires are 155/80 R13 and Rear are 185/70 R13

on Lancia rims while a full-sized spare tire is stored behind the passenger seat.

This Bertone X-1/9 is finished in yellow and black which is the original coat.

The paints presents well with few blemishes. The interior has yellow & black leather seats and matching leather steering wheel while retaining its original finishes. The doors are in black leather. The plastic surfaces are free of cracks and show little wear.

There are no cracks in dashboard. The interior is mint for its age

Maintenance: the X 1/9 was never very complicated, being one of the last non-electronic cars. Service is quite easy with no major accessibility problems despite the compact layout. There is a box of materials containing the car's manual and much documentation related to the vehicle's maintenance.

Negatives:

Cranky windows: Best bet is to retrofit the manual versions.


Like any older classic, the Bertone' A/C does not blow cold air. Some enthusiasts remove the system and take advantage of the targa roof.
