1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z11 396 Indy Pace Car Rally Sport / Super Sport Additional Info:

For sale is my 1969 Camaro Z11 Indy Pace Car. This istherealdeal. A truecoded Z11 on trim tag. Build date is the fourth week of February 1969. Also the first week of pace car production. Original big block 396/325HPpace car with a turbo 400 transmission. Car has full console gauges, clock, tilt column and power top. The totallyrebuilt engine and engineaccessoriesare original to the car. Block has been decked years ago. VIN# is not present on theblock. Part number, casting date and application code proves it's thecorrect engine for the car.So to avoid an argument, I'm saying it's not the original engine, butaperiod correct engine. The T-400transmission is out of a 1969 Chevelle. The car had a built1975 T-400 in it when I purchased it. The differential gear wasupgraded by the previous ownerto a 3:73 ratio. The carretains theoriginaldifferential housing andis stamped for a 3:07 posi. Common 1969big block standard gear.I've rebuilt, replaced, restored the following. Theengine, engine accessories, transmission, driveline, cooling system, brake system, fuel system, electrical system, exhaust system, cow induction system, rally sport headlight door assemblies and headlight nozzle washer system. Completeinterior to include the convertible top. The plastic rear window is crystal clear. This car is complete. Every item and component is in place as it should be. All four weights are bolted to each corner of the car. Every accessory works to include, key buzzer, cigarette lighter, fiber optics ash tray light, glove box, courtesy lights, under hood light and trunk light. Original trunk jack and AM radio is with the caras well. This is an extremely rust free southern convertible. The underside of this car is super clean without any rust repairs ever done. Undercarriage almost looks like a new car.The engine compartmentand thetrunk look new as well. While restoring the car, I didnotice thatthere is a slight dent in the sub frame justbehind the front right tire. Car went through a complete alignment, and shows notracking issue. The alignment is dead on.No shakes or squeaks or pulling issues.Car starts, shifts and stops great. The outersheet metallooks to be original as well. I never worked on the body of the car.The body hasheld up great through the 12 years of ownership.Car was redone for my enjoyment and pleasure. I'm not a professional car restorer by any means. This is not a perfect #1 show car. A solid #2 is what she is. It's a nice driver. There is some wind noise from this 47 year old convertible. The glass could be adjusted to correct this. I havedriven this car a lot on nice dry days.Older restoration going on 10 years old. Always garage kept.Pictures are current. All photos are fromJune 2016. ThanksJeff

These pictures from Photo Bucket are TEN YEARS OLD. Many miles have been put on the car since these were taken. I just wanted to show you some of the restoration done to the car. Most of the restoration was done by myself in this garage. These pictures show the level of detail I did to put this car back together. The car today still looks good, but not as clean, nice and highly detailedas these pictures show. The car hasn't seen rain or any type of bad weather the 12 years I've own it. The undercarriage still looks good. Remember thatI'm not selling a show car. Just a clean driver.Hope these are helpful. Jeff
