1969 Chevrolet Corvette 350/350 ConvertibleFrame off Restoration, completed in 2020Matching numbers blockCorrect TransmissionOriginal heads casting 3927186Power steering and brakes - added during restoration, not an actual power steering and brakes carRadio works! The vacuum system does have a leak, headlamps are slow but they work and so are the wipersHere's the video link to me driving the car...the walk around video is below this description.https://youtu.be/5DQ3gFHjWZY (you may need to copy and paste this link)Mileage reads 68,438 but the odometer has not worked since I got the carI have a story on this car but I do not have paperwork to prove it. It was owned by someone from the military and they moved the car around a fair amount early on in its life. It supposed spend 25 plus years in a barn in Illinois. The guys I got it from did a frame off restoration on the car completely this year. I have driven the car this summer a few times on weekends. It is really the nicest C3 I've ever owned, both condition and how it drives. The car is not a perfect 10 when it comes to a frame off...I would say it's close but the best part is probably the exterior paint job. It's near flawless. There is a paint chip in one of the head lamps. I also took some pictures of the other blemishes I noticed. The door jambs could probably be done better in my opinion. There is a little black overspray on the underside of the car. The frame looks great but a little bumpy in spots(again see pics). But really just about every part is new...some of the original parts are the chrome. The bumpers look new or re-chromed but the door handles seem original, the sill plates look original and the emblems on the car. The interior appears to be new. The steering wheel is showing some peeling and has lost some of it's strength. In my opinion the steering wheel could be replaced. I will be doing a walk around video and drive of this car and will be posting it soon. The car was really brought to very original...nothing has been modified except the power steering and brakes. The car does send some smoke when you run it...we believe the engine has been rebuilt or at least had all gaskets replaced. It doesn't appear to be burning oil. We believe the carburetor does need to be adjusted. I may be running rich.
