1964 Chevrolet Corvette stingray Additional Info:

This beautiful 1964 Corvette Convertible with the Factory Hardtop is a Show Car with spectacular custom paint, painted by a real craftsman around 1980, yet this Vette has the Stock body and running gear. The paint is all lacquer with lots of coats of clear applied and hand wet sanded and buffed to provide the ultimate shine to protect and enhance the design. Today it would cost over $25,000 to duplicate this custom paint.

The base color is Ford Brite Red laquer and all the design work is hand masked and sprayed, no decals were used and it took an immense amount of time and talent, (and masking tape). The Corvette Sting Ray featured hidden headlamps, non-functional hood vents, and an independent rear suspension. which introduced Sting Ray to the model, and the 1964 featured a distinctive tapering rear deck, featured hidden headlamps, non-functional hood vents, and continued with fiberglass body panels. The C2 was later referred to as mid-years.

The complete undercarriage and all suspension items are also painted red. The original side pipes look and sound awesome and there is a AM/FM Cd player in the glove box and extra speakers underdash and in the rear. The engine compartment is super detailed and painted body color, original 327 engine painted, original Corvette valve covers, chrome accessories, chrome brake booster & master cylinder, oil pan, red chrome plated alternator, aluminumized exhaust manifolds and pipes, braided lines, and the red line tires with Classic Creager wheels really set this Vette off from the crowd.

This show car with it's 4 speed transmission,, runs, drives, handles, and performs like new with 79,000 original miles on it. I have had this car over 40 years, but health forces sale, damn it.
