1944 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:

I built this 1944 Chevy truck (Yes. Titled as 1944)

It started as a 1944 Chevy truck cab & 1938 Oldsmobile hood & grill.

All other fabrication is one off stuff.

Body lengthened 4” in front of cowl for added leg room.

The Oldsmobile hood was originally hinged at center, now stretched & hinged at the cowl with cable hood release in cab.

a rebuilt 235 Chevy motor, an S10 5 speed, hooked to Jaguar 2.87 Posi rear.

Motor accessories: HEI distributer, Fenton headers, Offenhauser triple intake.

Carburetors appear as triple. Only the center carb & electric choke used.

Outboard carbs are for looks.

Frame (2” x 4” Steel) 128” wheelbase was copied from a very talented street rod fabricator, that let look under his similar truck with my camera & notes.

The last pictures shows chassis less body.

1947 Ford truck straight axle & Speedway 11” rotor & spindle kit.

Bench seat out of 1995 Ford Windstar

Other stuff. Vintage Air heat cool defrost, Ididit 32” column, Borgeson shaft & joints, tinted glass, v butt windshield, 1939 Chevy tail lights, 525 Saginaw gearbox, Centerforce clutch & Howe hydraulic throwout bearing, Spal 16” puller fan, EZ wire 21 circuit, Dynamat all cab interior, Newport Eng. duel wipers, Dolphin electronic gauges, Griffin Aluminum Radiator.

14 gal. stainless tank (Tanks inc) & Optima battery. Both are inside vintage old auto trunk behind cab.

Wheels: Cragar Delux 15x5 front 15x8 rear

Tires: Cooper 195 65 15 & 265 75 15

Bumpers (Nerf bars) are one off, simulate those used on early sprint & 50’s hot rods.

Color HRF 1505 Glacier blue by Hot Rod Flatz urethane.

Handles well, starts every time. front suspension is a little stiff.
