I’m selling this 1981 Camaro Z28 for a family friend. It’s basically all there and overall original. Comes with original build sheet showing all options. Factory T-Top Z28 with Charcoal Grey Exterior and Silver/Blue interior. This is a stunning color combination. It spent most of its life in a garage. The Cowl tag, VIN, and build sheet match (The build sheet was found behind the rear set and is in GREAT shape). Shows 84k on the odometer and the pedal wear, seat condition, and engine bay supports this (I unfortunately don’t have documentation to support this). The hood scoops even function when you put the hammer down! The computer drops down the idle after warm up as it should. Runs good and could use a tune up but it's definitely a car you could drive daily, take to shows, leave as-is or restore as you drive.
The interior is in excellent shape and they had repainted many faded interior pieces. Seats are original. The floor pans were professionally replaced front to back in the past 3 years, on top of which they did sound deadening (Like Dynomat) and the carpet itself has a thick layer of rubber so it's a quiet ride. Many new parts included to finish up the odds n ends. Comes with full set of metal louvers, 2 new arm pulls, and other things.
Overall the body is very solid. Has some minor rust on bottom corner of driver door and the driver rocker/body. Also there is some rot behind the gas tank and I have a brand new metal piece for this that comes with the car ready for install (non structural area). The corners of the dash don’t have any major signs of rot. Trunk is totally solid with no rust through. We get around 5 days of snow a year in East Tennessee so we don’t salt the roads!
I have over 500 photos I can send to you, as well as take more. I can take a video of it starting and running. Not fully restored however minimal rust compared to most and a survivor.
