1957 Cadillac DeVille Frame Off Restoration Additional Info:

Beautiful frame off restoration. The car has 41750 original miles of which 700 of those miles have been driven since restoration. During the restoration, the body & frame were acid dipped. At that time, it was determined that the car had never been wrecked. The only rust was a small spot about the size of a quarter which was professionally repaired. The body parts were E Coated and the frame was powder coated. The inside of the doors, roof, floors, firewall and quarters were sprayed with Lizard Skin ceramic insulation and sound control. The car was repainted back to it's original color, Dusty Rose using Standox paint. When the interior was completed, it was done in leather and cloth to match the original upholstery. The car has been restored back to museum quality.
Some of the upgrades made to the car were made to improve the safety, comfort and cruising more enjoyable. The changes included the brake booster and master cylinder, Vintage Air, 4 channel amplifier and radio. It was also set up to use a cd player or I-Phone if desired. The Vintage Air uses the factory air conditioning vents. The transmission was swapped out to a 700R4 but the original transmission is included. A custom made radiator with an internal trans cooler was also installed. The original radiator will be included if the buyer desires. The front brakes are Disc and the rear brakes are rebuilt drums.
All the worked was performed by professionals. The radiator was built by Performance & Rod Customs. Pro Custom Interiors out of Knoxville, Tn. handled the interior work, including the headliner. The stainless was restored by Victors Polishing Shop out of New Orleans, La. while the engine worked was done by David's mechanic shop in Theodore, Al. Advanced Plating out of Nashville, Tn. handled the chrome work. The Sean Dunston, owner of The RIDE FACTORY in Pascagoula, Ms. was responsible for or performed the overall restoration which took over five (5) years to complete.
No expense or time was spared during this restoration. There are three(3) notebooks which contain invoices and photographs documenting the restoration. The total amount spent and documented by the invoices is well in excess of the price.
