This is a really clean example of an e30: near perfect interior, low mileage, great paint, drives well and it has had /A LOT/ of work done on it recently. One of the previous owners devoted lots of time and effort to making the exhaust sound nice without being obnoxious. I'm selling it because I bought this car to share with my ex, and that story kind of tells itself.
Full BAR ready swap from a 1989 325i Convertible includes 2.5 liter engine, brand new Magnaflow catalytic converter, US spec filler tube, US evap equipment, and the correct ECU.
-New stainless steel braided brake lines from the firewall back
-New clutch master/slave cylinder with stainless steel braided line.
-New clutch
-Several new shifter bushings
-New rear main seal and shift selector seal
-Replaced hard fuel lines, fuel filter, and some of the soft lines.
-Correct mileage on replacement MPH gauge cluster (129,337)
-Recent professional rust repair to deal with the common touring rust issues (they're euro cars, rust free doesn't exist)
Downsides:
-non A/C
-Still some trouble to go through for registration
-e30 level maintenance (it's not perfect and it's never going to be)
-the fenders aren't original paint
-non LSD
Upsides:
-Ported and polished heads
-The ENTIRE floorpan was dynamatted by the previous owner
-Rolly windows
-Lowering springs, not cut springs (rides well)
-Rear seats fold flat for a massive cargo area for such a small car
-Map light rear view mirror-Extensive maintenance records
The previous owner took really good care of it and was fixing it up to daily forever until a special edition final year (93/94?) Touring became available to them. Overall it's in great shape, and the price it's listed for is a lot less than it cost.
