1979 BMW 5-Series 528iA Additional Info:

BMW 528iA E12 1979 in awesome Reseda Green Metallic
Motor upgraded to 3.5L M30B34. Converted to period correct Getrag 262 4-Speed manual from automatic with original parts. Car starts every time and runs with good heat. Suspension includes Bilstein Sport shocks with lowered Suspension Techniques Springs and adjustable sway bars. Steering tie rods have been replaced in recent history. Brakes are disc all round with vented front and solid rear.
Best part of this car is the limited amount of rust for a car that is 37 years old. The subframe rails and rockers are all solid as are the floors. Having had the car up on a lift and thorough inspection, there is no evidence of ever having any accident damage. All suspension towers are solid. For disclosure there are little spots of rust but this is very minor. The paint has some fading but has been recently buffed to a nice shine and presents well. Note also the period correct foam rear spoiler fitted to this car!
The interior has been swapped to E28 by a prior owner which includes black leather seats which are in very good condition with only a small separation in the driver front seat. The driver seat is height adjustable. All functions work as they should. The door cards are also E28. The dash has only very minor cracks and other than that presents very well. The headliner has no tears and is in order. The car comes with an original MOMO sport steering wheel.
There are electric windows front and rear but the rear do not work due to a wiring issue. The car is pre-wired for central locking and it just needs to be sorted to work. Lights work. Indicators work. Wipers work. Blower fan works. All center console items are there to fit a radio and some wiring is present to run to speakers.
The wheels are period correct BBS RA 14x6.5 fitted with essentially new Michelin Defender 195/70/14 tires (manufacture date 38th Week of 2015). There is not even 1000 miles on these tires and they came from another BMW I have.
Overall this is a very complete, solid car. While it is not a 10/10 concourse car, neither is the price for this rare breed. It can be enjoyed as is for a few years as is and then would be a prime candidate to bring back to showroom new as everything is included with the car.
I can send more photos if necessary and provide video of the car running and driving if inquiring from interstate. You are more than welcome to view the car and with that up on a lift. Thanks for looking.
