We are truly excited to offer this TRUE American Sports Car that is a low production vehicle. Only 6,725 1968 AMX’s were built, and the 2-seater version was only produced from 1968 to 1970. This was the height of the Performance car era and the AMX was a standout in that arena. Being introduced at the Daytona International Speedway in February 1968 and also AMC partnered with Playboy enterprises to introduce the AMX to dealers.

The body on this AMX was stripped to bare metal (see pic) during the restoration that was just completed. Added touches were the Front and Rear Mark Donahue Spoilers. The paint color is as unique as the AMX and is from the Dave Kendig line and is called Akzo Noble Cold Brews. The color is meant to look like a pearl color, but is easy to touch up or refinish if there is a blemish. The interior on the AMX is nearly perfect and appears to be completely original. The miles listed are currently on the odometer, but cannot be verified and like most older vehicles sold as exempt.

The current engine in the AMX is a 390 CU IN engine that was completely rebuilt and mated to the very popular 4-speed manual transmission. The engine runs out strong, sounds GREAT, and the AMX performs excellent. The OEM 14” Rallye Wheels with white lettered tires complete the Factory Performance appeal!
