1951 Willys M38 military jeep1951 M38 Willys Jeep 1/4 ton 4x4 with a 1947 frame.The jeep has been converted to a 12 volt system. This fun Jeep has many original parts such as wheels with military tires and includes a spare and gas can on the back.The jeep has a new full canvas rails and top, and a “ rope” winch.The jeep has an electronic distributor already installed, and starts and runs great . The Willys leaks a little oil, about like a 75 year old jeep would.The cool part, it has a vintage 1956 Willys Wagon straight six (141-6 )engine that is rated at 90 hp giving it much more torque than the original little 40 hp four-cylinder.The jeep starts, runs, drives, and stops as it should. Many new parts come with it, like a full set of larger brake drum, wiper motors etc.It has a rear folding seat.The horn and all lights work, the black out drive lights are wired as parking lights.The jeep comes with the pioneer tools attached to the side.Before driving across the state, the Jeep will need king pin bearings in the future if you wish to drive on the highway for extended periods of time.
