a highly authentic 1950 Willys-Overland Jeepster, factory-equipped with the rare L161 "Lightning Six" flathead 6-cylinder engine.

While the 4-cylinder "Go-Devil" models are common, Willys manufactured only 5,845 total Jeepsters for 1950—and only 1,799 left the factory with this upgraded 6-cylinder powerplant.

The Story Behind the Jeepster

This vehicle has been the centerpiece of our family across three generations. It originally belonged to my grandfather, who kept it safely stored in his basement garage. As a child, it was my favorite place to play and imagine. Years later, my father took on the labor of love to fully restore the vehicle before handing it down to me.

⚙️ Mechanical, Structural & Preservation Highlights

To keep the vehicle authentic but safely drivable, we have maintained a strict balance of preservation and practical updates:

• The Engine & Transmission: Original 161 cubic-inch L-head inline-6 running smoothly on its period-correct 6-volt electrical system. Features the factory Borg-Warner T-96 3-speed manual transmission with a functioning factory overdrive unit.
• The Curtains & Top: Includes the highly coveted, original factory side curtains. The canvas top material has been replaced for preservation, utilizing the original folding frame.
• Interior Details: The interior side panels are clean but non-original.
• Updates & Current Imperfections: Features a safely updated replacement fuel tank. Please note the factory gas gauge is currently inoperable. The factory radio retains its original exterior facing and knobs to protect the dash aesthetics, but the internal components were rebuilt with modern solid-state electronics for functional reliability.
