1917 Willys Overland 85-6 Touring Car. All original matching number 6 cylinder Continental engine with 3 speed transaxle. I like buying cars and trucks that have been kept inside and not run for decades + and bring them back to life . This is one of those .Complete car last registered 1971 as a Historic vehicl, so it has been in collectors hands for many Years . Looks like most all the 108 Years of this cars life it was taken care of and housed as much as possible, It has ONLY surface rust, possibly original paint. Wood is mostly in good shape, wheels are nice. Appears this had not been started since it was last registered in 71. Motor is fresh rebuil, starter was bad. What I done was R&R oil pan cleaned and checked internal, updated Starte, distributo, ignition, and carbureto, electric fuel pump . All original pieces go with. Original gas tank and radiator still in good shape.Starts and runs great with correct oil pressur, lot Drives, Clear title in my name.
Things I see still need to be done to be road worth, water pump needs new packing (goes with). Brake linkage needs to be freed u, clutch linkage is grabb, so going to need trailer with a winch, open trailer OK.
This 108 Year old is in way better shape than most of the muscle cars I bu, and its still a matching number car! A lot of the interior is original and not bad, ga, oil and oil level gauges work . Tires old but still hold air . Whens the last time You saw a 108 Year old convertible in this condition for this much money ?S, If You're looking for a Larg, Rar, Unmoleste, open car from the early 19, for not much $$ . I'v always strived for a honest description . NJ. Dealer successfully doing cars since the 60s .Always get Anchises this time where to put all of my cars for the winter. CALL or Tx ME and we'll talk.
