This 1950 Willys-Overland Jeepster was modified under prior ownership from a rust free Arizona car with custom bodywork on an all-original steel body. It has a removable hardtop, body-color tonneau cover, along with a fuel-injected 350ci V8 and a five-speed manual transmission from an early 90's Pontiac Trans Am. The truck is finished in metallic blue and rides on Mustang II-style independent front suspension, rear airbags, and staggered-diameter Cragar SS wheels. The interior houses two-tone bucket seats along with a custom dash and center console, a CD stereo and gauges sourced from a Pontiac Trans Am. Service completed in 2023 included replacing the fuel tank and clutch assembly. This modified Jeepster is now offered by the selling dealer in Idaho with service records and a Washington title.
The vehicle features custom bodywork finished in metallic blue, including a rear roll pan, shaved door handles, and body-color molded fenders and running boards. A firewall was added behind the front seats, and the rear cargo area is topped with a body-color tonneau cover. Rectangular headlights and teardrop taillights were also installed along with a custom grille, wind wings, aftermarket mirrors, and a removable hardtop. Exhaust outlets exit ahead of each rear wheel.The 14″ front and 15″ rear Cragar SS wheels feature faux-knockoffs and are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 205/70 and 255/70 respectively. The Mustang II-style independent front suspension incorporates disc brakes, while the rear end features airbags and drums. Maintenance on the rear brakes included replacing the wheel cylinders, shoes, and drums in 2023. The brake fluid was also flushed.The bucket seats are trimmed in blue vinyl and cloth, and the cabin features fabric door panels, matching carpets, a custom body-color dash and center console. Amenities include a Sony CD stereo, aftermarket pedals, and a locking glove box.The three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation sourced from a Pontiac Trans Am and installed in a custom 1940 Ford dash. It includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 1,062 miles which is the mileage since the build and engine were completedThe fuel-injected 350ci V8 was installed during the build and features finned valve covers, a chrome alternator and an exhaust system with dual glass pack mufflers. The fuel tank and fuel level sending unit were replaced in 2023, at which time the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor were also replaced.Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a 4.10:1 rear end. Work in 2023 involved replacing the clutch assembly and machining the flywheel. The Jeepster had over $8,900 in service work in November of 2023.
