Up for sale is a Civilian Jeep CJ2A. This is the first civilian production Jeep made after WWII by Willys. It is the same body style (flat fender) and size (1/4 ton, 180'' wheelbase) as the World War Two Military Jeeps (MB & GPW), many times these are painted to look like a WWII Jeep. There were less than 215K of this model of Jeep made, so it is somewhat rare and even more rare in the fact that it has not been cut on, rusted out or modified much from when it left the factory over 75 years ago.It has been converted to 12 volt from the original 6 volt, but other than that it appears to be all original. The floor pan and toolbox floor are NOT rusted out like so many Jeeps from this time frame.Original 4 cyl. 134 L Head or Flat Head Motor, T-90 3 speed Transmisson with the #18 Transfer case. It is equipped with 5:38 gears in the front and rear differentials.I have been asked to sell this Jeep for a customer who has had the Jeep at a summer place in New Mexico for over 20 years. He has used it to run errands around town and drive in the 4th of July parades. It has been garage kept.If you are looking for a restoration project, this would be a big head start over most projects. But, this would also be a good Jeep, if you are looking for one to jump in and starting using.Paint maybe a little faded, but I would rather have a Jeep I can jump in and use, rather than a nice paint job and not be able to use it.This Jeep is for sale at my shop (820 Jeep in Forest Hill Texas 76140) and as such, eBay ad maybe pulled if it sells. After hitting buy it now, you have 7 days to come and inspect and remove Jeep, payment in full to be made before removal of Jeep.Any questions or needs to make other arrangements, please contact me.Thanks, Bob 820 Jeep
