1953 Willys Jeep CJ3B Additional Info:
The long history of the Jeep and Willys brand is very impressive and several variations to this proven 4x4 over the years makes these highly sought after and impressive on any terrain you went after. These were developed for the military and then civilian/agriculture work throughout its life cycle.
This very nicely restored Willys CJ 3B with the F4 Hurricane 4cyl engine is one of the best of the early models. More power and torque for the driver and even had the ability to almost achieve 100mph on the road. The iconic taller hood was a dead giveaway for this engine setup from the previous CJ 3A version. This is a much more valuable setup and still considered part of the flat-fender family of the Willys. Vehicle was produced in Toledo, Ohio and found its way down to Costa Rica at some point where it was treated to a full restoration from top to bottom and in remains in fabulous condition.
Vehicle was stripped down to bare metal, all trim work removed and electronics then properly restored with fresh paint, trim work, fittings and powertrain and drivetrain. Our quick test drive revealed a peppy and enjoyable vehicle to drive for any event, car show or two track you prefer. The vehicle comes alive with a simple twist of the key, the lights come on with ease and the upgraded turn signals function properly along with horn, power driver wiper, and gauges (minus gas gauge). The brand new soft top and fittings snaps into place with ease and the removable soft doors function properly to give you some protection from the elements if you choose. The 3spd manual transmission shifts with ease and the hi/lo transfer case performs properly along with the ability to lock in or out the front axle. Period correct Jerry can and passenger side mounted spare complete the look along with freshly reupholstered front bucket seats and rear bench seat complete with lap belts.
Only 646 miles have been logged on this Willys since restoration and the upside will continue as period correct military vehicles from this era are in strong demand across the globe and finding one in this condition along with the rarity of its setup will not last long. This is your time to step out from the crowd, strap on some gear, load the grand kids and storm a parade in style and be the most popular dude at the event!
